C.E.N.T.E.R for High School Students is a semester-long modern Home Economics program from the Cooking Block in Redlands. The Acronym: Culinary Education, (in) Nutrition, Expenditure, (and) Resource Management,their purpose is to give a culinary inheritance to the next generation. Owner and instructor John Shrader, explains when the Home Economics classes were taken out of our schools that generation of kids grew up without making a connection to cooking and food. The C.E.N.T.E.R program is designed to reconnect our kids with a deep appreciation for where real food comes from and how to manage food in a modern world.
