Savory Road Radio features, Paradis, a Danish Ice Creamery making a splash in So. Cal. Popular in Denmark with 60 Ice Cream shops , Paradis now has five shops in Southern California. Starting with the first shop in Montrose in 2009 then adding: Long Beach, Monrovia, Hermosa Beach, Seal Beach. New shops are set to open soon in Valencia and Santa Ana. We first met, Kitchen Manager, Albert Thomas at the Montrose Paradis store, where we first got to taste their delicious ice cream. Then we met at the kitchen facilities in San Fernando, California and Albert showed us the ice cream is made.
Paradis ice cream and sorbets are made daily with high quality and fresh ingredients. The fruit is picked fresh from local farmers and other ingredients are sourced from around the world. The ice cream is made fresh everyday from their facilities in San Fernanado and shipped in the morning to the individual shops.
