Jeff and Donna along with son Chris continue their journey up the West Coast by crossing the Oregon border and stopping in the beachside and extremely south town of Brookings where they enjoy a mid-day Martini and hearty vittles at the Superfly (yes, Superfly) restaurant. They continue to Florence and enjoy barbecued salmon lovingly prepared by Jeff’s cousin Rick, then stomp around Cannon Beach and Astoria to see location shoots of one of the family-favorite movies – The Goonies. After wetting their whistles along the Columbia, the traveling trio jam up to Gig Harbor and spend a few days with family at this gorgeous, wooded south Puget Sound marina town where they find local whiskey, fresh fish, and quite possibly the finest burger in the the Pacific Northwest. From there, more location shoot visits – this time famous Stadium High School from the movie The 10 Things I Hate About You, then a trip to the Nalley Valley where Jeff and Donna discover their old haunt Bob’s Java Jive is still – miraculously – standing. Day trips to Seattle include the 9th annual Short Attention Span Food Tour at the market and downing cold suds at Ballard’s Waterwheel lounge. Belly up and join us!
