We delved into the world of pupusa’s. Owner Michelle Barrientos, introduces us to the world of Salvadorian cuisine and the popular street food of El Salvador, Pupusa’s. They are thick handmade corn tortillas stuffed with a variety of ingredients, from cheese, meat and squash. Salpicon Restaurant is located on Euclid Blvd in Ontario, CA.

Off the Menu
Their famous Pupusa’s. comes with fried plantains and Casamiento (rice and beans). There are a variety of fillings for the pupusas: cheese, pork, chicken, beans, squash, mushrooms and loroco.

For starters we had the Traditional Sampler: Fried and green plantains, fried yucca, empanada and a pastelito.
Pan de Gallina: Salvadorian style sandwich on french bread, with roasted turkey, lettuce, tomato, cucumber, pickle and their own mayo.
Chili Relleno Con Carne: Stuffer pasilla pepper with homemade stuffing of pork, potato, carrots and topped with homemade salsa.
